Imaging & Scans

The imaging module covers ultrasound, X-ray, CT, MRI, and any other diagnostic scan your hospital performs.

The catalog​

Imaging → Catalog — every scan you offer, with:

  • Modality (X-ray, CT, MRI, US, etc.).
  • Body region.
  • Equipment required.
  • Default radiologist.
  • Price and tax class.

Booking a scan​

From the consultation page, click Order Scan. The system:

  1. Checks equipment availability.
  2. Shows the next two free slots.
  3. Books the slot once chosen.
  4. Adds the scan price to the visit bill.

Technician workflow​

The scan technician opens the scan from the imaging dashboard, marks Started, performs the scan, and marks Completed. Each step is timestamped.

Reading and reporting​

The radiologist opens a completed scan, attaches the DICOM viewer link (PACS integration is configured per hospital), and writes a structured report: technique, findings, impression.

Reports use templates per modality so radiologists are not retyping the same boilerplate.

The scan report​

Every scan produces a Scan Report PDF with:

  • Hospital letterhead.
  • Patient demographics.
  • The technique block.
  • The findings block.
  • The radiologist's impression and signature.

Critical findings​

Any radiologist can mark a scan Critical. The ordering doctor is paged immediately (SMS + app), and the acknowledgement is logged.
